OOPS!… I DID IT AGAIN

Growing up, I spent my days memorizing Britney’s songs and dance routines. I went to all her concerts and owned every Britney doll, DVD, backpack, notebook, folder, pencil, calendar, Gameboy Advance game, and pretty much any Britney merchandise you can think of. Can you say obsessed? I decided to bring my Britney bones back and be Oops!… I Did It Again Britney, wearing the iconic red latex suit from her music video on Mars.

Makeup: Britney isn’t wearing a lot of coverage, so I used Armani Silk Foundation, NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer on my under-eyes, and set my face with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder. I prepped my eyelids with MAC Painterly Paint Pot, and used MAC Blanc Type eyeshadow all over my eyelids. I then used Mac White Frost to highlight my brow bone and my inner tear ducts. Britney’s eyes are white, frosty, with a little hint of blue. I used MAC Turquatic eyeshadow along my top and bottom lash line, and gently dusted it upwards with a fluffy brush to get a soft blue undertone.  It’s a lustre eyeshadow meaning there isn’t much color payoff, just flexes of shimmer. I used MAC Chromagraphic pencil in NC 15/ NW 20 on my waterline. Britney isn’t wearing falsies, so I coated my natural lashes with Hypnose Mascara by Lancome. I mixed MAC Fleur Power blush and Sam Marcel Highlight Palette in Amour for pinky cheeks. I outlined by lips with Mac Oak lip liner and used a clear lipgloss by Essence.

Hair: I straightened my hair pin straight, and did a deep side part.  I used lots of hairspray and sleeked the front section behind my ears, securing the two pieces together underneath with an elastic band. I then teased the crown of my head using hairspray by Kenra. I wrapped the front sleek section with an extension piece to create a headband … and WALA! You have Britney hair!

Outfit: I ordered my red latex catsuit off Amazon for only $23, and wore my all black Nike Huaraches.

Makeup: I spray tanned dark for this look. I used Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer as my foundation, and Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Sticks to highlight and contour.  I set my under-eyes with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to avoid any creasing. I prepped my eyelids with MAC Groundwork Paint Pot, and used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette for my eyeshadow and forehead bruises. I smudged MAC Eye Kohl Teddy in my waterline, and outlined my eyebrows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in chocolate. I used Sam Marcel Luxurious Highlight Palette in Voila down the bridge of my nose and cheekbones. I used MAC Stone lipliner and Blankety lipstick.

Hair: For this look, I wanted volume, but unpolished. I let my hair air dry and curled it with a 1 ½ inch Hot Tools Curling Iron, curling sections away from my face. Remember, I wanted it to be kind of messy, so curls don’t have to be perfect. Once everything was curled, I flipped my head upside down and sprayed Kenra Dry Texture Spray. Still having my hair flipped, I diffused my hair for just a few minutes using a Paul Mitchell diffuser to lock in some volume.

Outfit: I ordered my corset off Amazon. My feather belt and goggles are from a costume store down Hollywood Blvd., and my boots are from Chinese Laundry.

DISCO BARBIE

“I’m a Barbie Girl, in a Barbie world” … “C’mon Barbie, let’s go party, ah ah ah yeah!”- Barbie Girl by Aqua. This was my favorite costume this year, because I had the most fun stepping out of my comfort zone.

Makeup: For this look I wanted a fuller coverage, pinky tones, winged liner and lots of lash. My girl Kandice came through and made it happen for me. Check out her work (Instagram: @Kandicedperalta). She prepped my skin with Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick, and used MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. She highlighted and contoured me with Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Sticks mixed with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, and set it with Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo. My eyeshadows were by Morphe 350 Nature Glow Palette lined with Inglot black gel liner. She applied individual cluster lashes for a doll-eye look. On my lips she used MAC Soar lip liner and Lovelorn lustre lipstick.

Hair: This was actually my first time wearing a wig, so I was a little nervous. I braided my hair into four French braids, pinned the long hanging parts up, and placed my wig cap over. Then I put on my long blonde wig from The Hair Shop in LA.

Outfit: My dress, hot pink shorts, and white shiny thigh-high boots are all from different costume stores down Hollywood Blvd.

Happy Halloween everyone, until next year!

Hi Kassandra! Here is the link: http://a.co/d/c9X96EZ
(Keep in mind the catsuit isn’t very long, I’m short so it wasn’t a problem.)
